Welcome to Brenda Mines

The closed copper-molybdenum mine site is located in the southern interior of British Columbia, approximately 22 kilometers west of Peachland in the Central Okanagan.

In addition to some history about the closed mine, our website will provide you with information regarding ongoing reclamation activities. These activities currently focus mostly on water management and treatment.

As a requirement of our permit (view permit in PDF) issued under the provisions of the BC Waste Management Act, we make effluent water quality results from the water treatment plant available to the public. This treated water is discharged to MacDonald Creek, a tributary of Trepanier Creek, which in turn, flows through Peachland, BC, and into Okanagan Lake.
